ALA Unit Member of the Year Award https://www.legion-aux.org/unit-member-of-the-year
Good afternoon District and Unit Presidents:
In this email I have included valuable information on the requirements for Unit Member of the Year.
I know when you look around your Units you have a member that went above and beyond to support the Unit and the American Legion Auxiliary mission.
Remember, Unit Member of the Year Award is about those serving at the unit level who epitomize the values and ideals of the American Legion Auxiliary and whose accomplishments significantly impact the program work at the unit level. Let's not forget these members and show them how much we appreciate them.
Please submit their information on the attached form to the Department Leadership Chair parkerbillingservice@gmail.com before the May 16, 2025 cut off.
Requirements:
Open to senior members who are not currently, nor have ever been, in an elected or appointed leadership role higher than unit president.
Units: Follow the directions and deadlines of your department. Submit a narrative of 1,000 words or less to your department. Describe the nominee’s accomplishments and activities and include the nominee’s name and address. Submit to the Department Leadership chairman by May 16, 2025
Departments: Submit only one entry. Please include the unit’s narrative when submitting this form. Entry is due June 1st and must be entered by the Leadership or PPP chairman. Please use the electronic form to submit your Unit Member of the Year.
Please direct any questions to the American Legion Auxiliary Department or Leadership chairman.
Respectfully,
Deborah Parker
